Department of Physics has very good infrastructure and well equipped, spacious laboratories. The Department of Physics is known for good academic and general discipline. The faculty of the department is actively involved in interdisciplinary research. The major thrust areas of research involve synthesis and characterization of nano-materials and thin films, quantum information and quantum computation. Faculty has published over 15 research papers in international peer reviewed journals, such as RSC Advances, Physica B, Journal of Alloys and Compounds, Optical Materials, Advanced Powder Technology, Journal of Electron Spectroscopy and Related Phenomena, etc. He has also presented over 18 papers in both national and international conferences. Apart, he has attended over 16 workshops and conferences.
