To facilitate the implementation and smooth functioning of the National Academic Depository (NAD) and Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) as per UGC and Bangalore University guidelines, ensuring secure digital access to academic records and effective credit transfer for students.
Responsibilities
Create awareness among students and faculty about NAD and ABC platforms.
Assist students in registering and linking their DigiLocker with ABC ID.
Coordinate with the Examination Cell and Bangalore University for uploading academic records to NAD/ABC portals.
Maintain records of student registrations, updates, and credit transfers.
Ensure compliance with UGC guidelines regarding credit accumulation, transfer, and academic documentation.
Liaise with university/nodal officers for technical and procedural support.
Things To Consider
Ensure 100% student registration on the ABC platform at the time of admission.
Conduct orientation sessions for each batch to educate students about the importance and benefits of NAD/ABC.
Align course and credit structures as per the National Education Policy (NEP) and Choice Based Credit System (CBCS).
Coordinate with IT support for resolving technical issues related to DigiLocker or ABC accounts.
Ensure data privacy and integrity while handling student academic records.
Protocols to be Followed
Use the NAD/ABC Cell seal on all official communication and reports.
Ensure students generate and activate their ABC IDs through DigiLocker at the time of admission or enrollment.
Organize awareness campaigns, hands-on sessions, and help desks at the beginning of each academic year.
Verify and compile academic data for upload in coordination with the Examination Cell and University Portal.
Submit quarterly reports to the IQAC and Principal on registration status, record uploads, and credit transfer activities.
Track and maintain records of credit accumulation and transfers across departments/programs.
Conduct regular meetings with nodal officers, university representatives, and faculty coordinators for updates and compliance.
Submit documentation logs and meeting records to the Principal by the 5th of every month.
Ensure proper guidance and support to students seeking academic mobility under the ABC framework.
Review and audit NAD/ABC-related activities annually and submit a consolidated report for NAAC/affiliating university purposes.
