Objective
Promote literary activities and a love for reading and writing among students.
Responsibilities
- Organize literary events, such as readings, writing workshops, and book discussions.
- Plan and propose necessary budget for literary activities.
- Encourage students to participate in literary competitions and festivals.
- Provide platforms for students to showcase their literary talents.
- Maintain a library of literary resources for reference and inspiration.
- Promote a culture of reading and writing within the college.
Things to Consider
- Ensure activities are relevant to the interests and needs of students.
- Promote inclusivity and diversity in literary content and participation.
- Coordinate with Magazine and Social Media Optimisation committees.
Protocol to be Followed
- The Convenor must use the committee seal on all circulars and documents issued by the committee.
- Announce literary events and activities well in advance through circulars and online platforms.
- Maintain detailed records of all activities, including participant details, outcomes, and feedback.
- Submit a statistical report on committee activities and achievements department-wise to the Principal at the end of each semester.
- Coordinate with the Timetable Committee to organize events without disrupting regular academic activities.
- Ensure timely communication with students regarding literary opportunities and updates.
- Hold regular meetings with committee members to plan and review activities.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of literary programs on student engagement and creativity.
- Submit the meeting books on the 5th of every month.
- Maintain files for all activities mentioned in the protocol.
- Submit a report after each activity/event.
