Innovation and Incubation Centre (IIC)
Objective
To foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup culture among students and faculty at Surana College.
Responsibilities
- Incubation Support: Provide infrastructure, resources, and mentorship for innovative ideas and startups.
- Startup Validation and Development: Evaluate and select promising startup ideas through a transparent screening process.
- Entrepreneurship Development Programs: Organize workshops, seminars, and boot camps on entrepreneurship and business planning.
- Networking and Collaboration: Foster collaboration with industry partners, accelerators, and venture capitalists.
- Intellectual Property (IP) Management: Guide startups on patent filing, copyrights, and NDAs.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Track progress and impact of incubated startups.
- Facility Management and Operations: Ensure smooth operations of IIC facilities, labs, and workspaces.
Protocols to Follow
- Application and Selection Process: Define criteria for startup applications and review by an expert panel.
- Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure: Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure NDAs are signed.
- Reporting and Documentation: Keep comprehensive records of startups, reports, and financial statements.
- Compliance and Governance: Adhere to institutional policies, transparency, and ethical conduct.
- Evaluation and Review: Conduct regular feedback sessions and update SOP based on best practices.
- Submit a statistical report on committee activities and achievements to the Principal at the end of each semester.
- Coordinate with the Magazine and Social Media Optimization Committees.
- Submit the meeting books on the 5th of every month.
