Attendance Consolidation Committee

 

Objective

To ensure continuous monitoring of students’ academic performance and attendance, provide timely interventions, and support overall academic progress and discipline.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and review students’ academic performance through internal assessments, assignments, and examinations.
  • Track student attendance regularly and identify cases of shortage.
  • Inform students and parents about attendance and performance status periodically.
  • Recommend remedial measures such as extra classes, mentoring, or counseling for academically weak or irregular students.
  • Maintain accurate and updated records of performance and attendance.
  • Coordinate with faculty members and the mentoring cell for student support.
  • Submit periodic reports on academic progress and attendance to higher authorities.

  • Ensure monitoring is done regularly and records are updated promptly.
  • Maintain confidentiality and fairness in handling student performance data.
  • Ensure communication with students and parents is clear, timely, and constructive.
  • Encourage proactive measures to improve academic performance and attendance.
Protocol to be Followed
  1. The Convenor must use the committee seal on all official circulars, notices, and documents issued.
  2. Collect academic performance data from faculty after each internal assessment/test.
  3. Review attendance records monthly and identify students with attendance shortage.
  4. Prepare consolidated reports of academic performance and attendance.
  5. Share performance and attendance reports with students and communicate concerns (if any) to parents.
  6. Conduct meetings with faculty and mentors to discuss remedial measures for academically weak/irregular students.
  7. Organize mentoring, counseling, or remedial classes for students in need of support.
  8. Submit the Meeting Book and consolidated reports to higher authorities on or before the 5th of every month.
  9. Maintain committee files including:
    • Circulars and notices (with seal)
    • Academic performance records
    • Attendance records and shortage lists
    • Communication records with parents and students
    • Remedial measures undertaken
    • Meeting Books
    • Reports submitted to management
  10. Submit an Annual Report summarizing academic performance trends, attendance records, and remedial actions taken.
