Timetable Committee
Objective:
Ensure the creation, maintenance, and monitoring of the academic timetable and engagement of classes.
Responsibilities:
- Create and distribute academic timetables semester-wise.
- Coordinate with department heads for timetable adjustments in case of faculty leave or planned events at the college.
- Maintain a Timetable Adjustment Book and record all adjustments, submitting it to the principal on the 1st of every month.
- Conduct space audit and ensure room for all classes.
Things to Consider:
- Ensure the college timetable aligns with the Bangalore University Calendar of Events.
- Incorporate vocational training, NCC, NSS, Rotaract, Sports, Placement Activities, Student Development Programs, Faculty Development Programs, and IIC activities in the master timetable.
- Allocate time for these activities and reflect them in the master timetable.
Protocol to be followed:
- Copy of timetable must be displayed on the notice board for each semester and recorded in both soft and hard copy after the approval of the principal.
- The Internal Examination Committee must mail the Principal and mark the Timetable Committee to freeze regular activities for conducting Internal Examinations.
- If a committee is planning to conduct an activity, it must mail the Principal and mark the Timetable Committee to freeze regular activities for conducting such activities.
- The Convenor must use the committee seal on all circulars and timetables issued by the committee.
- Ensure a copy of leave applications is emailed to the Timetable Convenor, marking the respective coordinator, HR, and department members.
- Meeting Books and TT adjustment books must be submitted to the Principal on the 1st of every month.
