Placement Cell & Career Guidance Committee
Objective:
Facilitate placement opportunities and provide career guidance for students.
Responsibilities:
- Organize campus recruitment drives and maintain employer relationships.
- Plan and propose necessary budget for conduct of placement activities.
- Conduct career guidance workshops and seminars.
- Prepare students for interviews, resume writing, and other placement activities.
- Monitor placement statistics and trends.
- Collaborate with industry professionals and alumni for guest lectures and mentorship programs.
Things to Consider:
- Ensure a diverse range of companies and industries are represented in placement drives.
- Incorporate feedback from students and employers to improve placement processes.
- Provide support for students seeking internships and vocational training.
- Coordinate with Alumni committee for required activities.
Protocol to be Followed:
- The committee must use the committee seal on all circulars and documents issued.
- Regularly update the placement cell notice board and college online portal with information about upcoming drives and career opportunities.
- Maintain a database of student profiles, placement records, and employer contacts.
- Submit a statistical report on placement activities and outcomes to the Principal at the end of each semester.
- Ensure timely communication with students regarding placement opportunities and deadlines through circulars.
- Organize periodic meetings with faculty and student members to plan and review placement activities.
- Coordinate with the Timetable Committee to ensure minimal disruption to regular academic activities during placement drives.
- Encourage participation in workshops on soft skills, aptitude tests, and other career-related training sessions.
- Follow up with companies post-placement drives to gather feedback and improve future placements.
- Maintain files for all activities mentioned in points 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, and 9.
- Submit a report after each activity/event and meeting books on the 5th of every month.
