NSS Committee
Objective
Engage students in community service and development activities through the National Service Scheme (NSS).
Responsibilities
- Organize community service projects, awareness campaigns, and outreach programs.
- Plan and propose necessary budget for NSS activities.
- Collaborate with local organizations and government bodies for service initiatives.
- Encourage student participation in national and state-level NSS programs and events.
- Promote the values of social responsibility and volunteerism among students.
- Maintain records of NSS activities and student participation.
Things to Consider
- Ensure activities address the needs and concerns of the local community.
- Promote inclusivity and active participation among all students.
- Coordinate with Magazine and Social Media optimization committees.
Protocol to be Followed
- The Convenor must use the committee seal on all circulars and documents issued by the committee.
- Announce NSS events and activities well in advance through circulars and online platforms.
- Maintain detailed records of all activities, including participant details, outcomes, and feedback.
- Submit a statistical report on committee activities and achievements to the Principal at the end of each semester.
- Coordinate with the Timetable Committee to organize events without disrupting regular academic activities.
- Ensure timely communication with students regarding NSS guidelines and updates.
- Hold regular meetings with committee members to plan and review activities.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of NSS programs on student development and community welfare.
- Submit the meeting books on the 5th of every month.
- Maintain files for all activities mentioned in Protocol.
- Submit a report after each activity/event.
