Election Literacy Club
Objective
Educate students about the electoral process and promote active participation in democratic practices.
Responsibilities
- Organize voter awareness campaigns and electoral literacy workshops.
- Plan and propose necessary budget for election literacy activities.
- Collaborate with the Election Commission for training and resources.
- Encourage students to register as voters and participate in elections.
- Provide information on the importance of voting and the electoral process.
- Maintain records of election literacy activities and student participation.
- Adhere to election guidelines and organize elections for the college student council.
Things to Consider
- Ensure activities are relevant to the civic education needs of students.
- Promote inclusivity and active participation among all students.
- Coordinate with Magazine and Social Media optimization committees.
Protocol to be Followed
- The Convenor must use the committee seal on all circulars and documents issued by the committee.
- Announce election literacy events and activities well in advance through circulars and online platforms and promote voter registration.
- Maintain detailed records of all activities, including participant details, outcomes, and feedback.
- Submit a statistical report on committee activities and achievements to the Principal at the end of each semester.
- Coordinate with the Timetable Committee to organize events without disrupting regular academic activities.
- Hold regular meetings with committee members to plan and review activities.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of election literacy programs on student engagement and civic responsibility.
- Submit the meeting books on the 5th of every month.
- Submit a report after each activity/event.
