Bridge Course Committee
Objective:
To facilitate the smooth transition and academic integration of new students through structured bridge courses at Surana College.
Responsibilities:
- Train faculty to design bridge courses with clear learning outcomes and curricula tailored to the needs of incoming students.
- Ensure respective departments provide academic counseling and mentoring to students regarding course structure, expectations, and academic support services.
- Develop assessment tools and mechanisms to evaluate student progress and learning outcomes.
- Collect feedback from students and faculty to identify strengths, areas for improvement, and necessary curriculum adjustments.
- Coordinate with the Timetable Committee to schedule the bridge courses week within the academic calendar.
- Communicate effectively with department heads and faculty to optimize course timetables.
Protocols to Follow:
- Coordinate with the Inauguration and Orientation Committee and ensure bridge courses align with academic requirements.
- Plan bridge courses from the first day of college reopening with structured schedules.
- Maintain comprehensive records of bridge course activities, including attendance, assessments, and student performance.
- Establish a feedback mechanism for students to provide input on their experiences and teaching effectiveness.
- Prepare reports on bridge course outcomes, student achievements, and recommendations for future enhancements.
- Submit reports to the Principal within 5 working days from the completion of the bridge course.
